Organic Kelp

Ascophyllum nodosum is a sea kelp that is found off the
coast of the Northeast United States. It's famous for growing from the sea floor to the surface at amazingly fast rates, sometimes at more than one-half meter per day. We use this sea kelp because it is rich in polyphenols, which are small molecules that may have antioxidant capacity. Sea kelp is being studied for its potential to reduce carbohydrate absorption and for their potential immunostimulating effects.

Organic Moringa

Moringa, a nutrient-packed superfood that comes from the
Moringa oleifera tree in India, has been used for centuries in Eastern cultures to alleviate headaches, ease constipation, stimulate the immune system, promote weight loss, and increase libido. Modern research suggests moringa can help
lower cholesterol, balance blood sugar, and ease other health concerns. Studies
show moringa contains a number of compounds with health-promoting effects,
including quercetin and beta-sitosterol. It also has anti-inflammatory
compounds and may protect against health issues linked to oxidative stress and
chronic inflammation, including heart disease.

Organic Spirulina

Spirulina is a blue-green algae widely prized for its superior nutritional benefits. Spirulina is approximately 50-70% protein by
weight and has many important vitamins and minerals. Spirulina has been researched for its potential to act as an antioxidant. Studies have also suggested that consuming spirulina may help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol,
increase HDL (good) cholesterol, and support a more healthy balance of blood sugar in the body. Spirulina may also support better athletic performance
through its impact on oxygen utilization and lipid peroxidation.

Organic Kale

Kale is everyone's favorite superfood, and for good reason.
Kale is rich in antioxidants like beta carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Kale is also a source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and potassium. One study found that
people who drank kale juice daily reported higher HDL (good) cholesterol, lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, and higher selenium levels after 3 months. Kale (and all cruciferous vegetables) contains glucosinolates, which are sulfur-containing molecules that have been researched for their potential to support healthy cell growth.

Organic Spinach

Spinach is full of important nutrients like Vitamins C and
K, as well as potassium. It also boasts high levels of carotenoids like beta carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Spinach has been studied for its potential to
support a healthy cardiovascular system. One study found that consuming spinach may be associated with lower systolic blood pressure and higher nitric oxide, a molecule that helps the blood vessels relax and dilate.

Organic Barley Grass

While Barley grains are quite popular, the grass of the same
plant is not as well known. But they have been around for the last several thousands of years. Archaeological evidence also finds evidence of it being
used in ancient civilizations like the Egyptian civilization. There is a very good reason why these delicate immature leaves are considered to be among the
most nutritious greens known to man. There are over 50 different minerals that
can be found in barley grass. It has almost the full spectrum of B vitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, pantothenic acid, amino acids, enzymes, and more. Barley Grass also has a rich amount of chlorophyll, which helps detox the body of unwanted toxins, making it a very good detoxifying substance. Unlike other grasses, Barley Grass has a subtle taste making it a pleasant alternative to options like Wheatgrass.

Organic Flaxseed

Also called linseeds, flaxseeds come from the flax plant. The seeds have an earthy aroma and a nutty flavor. It is tiny with a brown or yellow or golden in color and has a hard covering. Flaxseed has an impressive
nutritional profile. An ounce of flax seeds will give you 6.4mg of omega-3, 8g of fibre, 6g of protein, 35% RDA of manganese, 31% RDA of Vitamin B1, 30% RDA
of phosphorous, iron, zinc, copper and more. We source organic flaxseed from sustainable sources and it has absolutely no fillers, additives or preservatives.

Buckwheat Complex Powder

Super Green Energy uses a patented buckwheat complex that helps meet all your vitamin B needs in a single serving.

Buckwheat seeds are harvested in Europe and go through a unique germination process where vitamins and minerals are added to the water. During the germination process the multi-nutrients pass into the cells of the
food. After the germination process, the buckwheat is dried into powder.

Buckwheat is a ‘Super Grain’ full of nourishing vitamins and minerals for your body and gut health. This seed contains plant-based proteins providing a source of 12 amino acids that support growth and energy. This nifty seed is packed full of important vitamins and minerals such as: B vitamins, manganese, magnesium, zinc, iron, folate, phosphorus and copper, and also
provides 2 essential amino acids that your body cannot make on its own.

Organic Turmeric

Turmeric is a beautiful golden spice used medicinally in India for over 4,000 years. Curcumin, the main active ingredient in turmeric, has been extensively studied for its potential to reduce oxidative stress and support a healthy inflammatory response. Studies suggest that curcumin may be particularly beneficial for people dealing with arthritic conditions and joint issues. Curcumin also may have cardioprotective effects: studies have examined how curcumin may be associated with reduced triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.

Organic Beetroot

The beautiful red beet gets its color from betalains (important antioxidants) and is ideal as an energy booster. Studies suggest
that drinking beet juice may be associated with improved V02 max (a marker of exercise endurance) and cycling performance. Consuming beets may also have a blood pressure-lowering effect because they're rich in nitrates. Research
suggests that these naturally-occurring nitrates may have the added benefit of increasing exercise endurance.

Organic Camu Camu

Camu camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a berry native to the Amazon
rainforest. Nutritionally, camu camu is one of the most concentrated natural food sources of vitamin C. Because of its high vitamin C content, camu camu is also rich in antioxidants, which have anti-inflammatory properties. For example, a single teaspoon serving of freeze-dried camu camu powder provides
682 mg of vitamin C—more than 10 times the amount in a medium-size orange. Beyond
vitamin C, camu camu provides smaller amounts of potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, and copper.

Organic Lucuma

Lucuma fruit, also known as "Gold of the Incas," has been cherished for centuries as a staple nutrition source and touted as a South American superfood. Lucuma powder is praised as a low-glycemic (GI) substitute (note that it's not completely sugar-free) for people with diabetes or anyone
looking for a healthier natural sweetener. Xanthophylls (responsible for lucuma's vivid golden color), vitamin C, polyphenols, and carotenoids are among the potent compounds found in lucuma powder. One study found that lucuma's
antioxidant-rich properties (namely polyphenols and carotenoids) may shield against chronic inflammation, fight free radicals, and promote skin, eye, and immune health.

Organic Ginger

That sharp, hot flavor of ginger affects more than just your
tongue. The active gingerols, shogaols, paradols, and zingerone present in ginger have been found to have antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Consuming ginger may also be associated with lower C-Reactive Protein (CRP), a
marker of inflammation.

Organic Acerola

Acerola cherry is a food that's naturally high in vitamin C
and antioxidants. Vitamin C is necessary for a functioning immune system, and having a higher vitamin C level may be associated with improved wound healing, higher antibody levels, and better immune system function in both acute
infection and chronic immune issues.

Organic Inulin

Inulin is a soluble fibre found in different plants. It is made up of the type of fibre that remains undigested as it passes through the system and reached the lower gut. Once there, the bacteria in the gut feeds on the Inulin to produce short-chain fatty acids, which nourish colon cells and
provide various other health benefits. It is this process that helps the good bacteria in your gut to thrive. For improved gut health, prebiotic fibre like
Inulin is absolutely crucial along with regular doses of probiotics.

Organic Lime

The lime is a small, green citrus fruit that grows on trees
in warm climates. Limes can pack a nutritional punch for your diet. Limes contain antioxidants, which have been shown to help reduce inflammation and even help prevent certain chronic illnesses. The high levels of Vitamin C found in limes can help protect you from infection and speed up your body’s healing process. One lime contains roughly a third of your daily recommended Vitamin C intake.

Organic Carrot

Carrots are root vegetables that are packed full of nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin K, and potassium. The positive health effects of carrots can be largely attributed to their carotenoid content (vitamin A). Carrots contain several phytochemicals with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory behaviors that help reduce the risk of heart disease. The polyphenols in carrots have been shown to increase bile secretion, which decreases cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, including the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. Because these compounds tend to accumulate in the retina, they are particularly helpful in preventing age-related macular degeneration, a common cause of vision loss
